Interesting discussion here! I am looking at getting into electronic distribution of gaming materials as well so this is quite helpful. From my own experience I find the electronic version very helpful as you have more options such as searching text content and reprinting damaged or work pages. The only item that concerns me is the printing of large format content such as maps. I have been making gaming aids such as world maps, locations, and deck plans for a little while now for personal use and always was picky about printing quality. The downside is not everyone has large format printers or access to them so not sure how useful large format images would provide. I have taken my own maps and such to a local print shop for large format printing and am very happy with the results. I guess in a way the electronic format is still nice since you decide when you need to print such maps and level of quality as well as affordably build up your own library. What are everyone's thoughts on buying electronic format of maps and related gaming materials? Mike |

Imagine that you've purchased a PDF copy of a ruleset. The document makes generous use of color, including charts, painting examples, and photographs of miniatures and terrain. When you print a copy of the ruleset, what print quality setting would you use? |
