Wulfgar writes:

Personally, I'd like to see pre-Civil War US and Volunteer cavalry and infantry in campaign dress, circa the 1850's.

I've often considered trying to recreate the Cayuse, Yakima, and Palouse War campaigns in Washington State. Two things hold me back. One of them is the lack of proper figures in 15mm. The other is remembering how brutal the fighting actually was, and trying to explain to local tribal acquaintances that I'm turning their tragedy into a game.

Still, it's a fascinating time and place in history. I mean no offense to those who do portray the Indian wars on the table top.

POLL DESCRIPTION

Terrement Supporting Member of TMP explains:

There are a number of what are affectionately known as (not) figures for some Old West characters, including Knuckleduster's Magnificent Seven, Brigade Games' Deadwood figs and Appaloosa figs, Crusader's Rooster Cogburn (Wayne, not Bridges), Boot Hill's Zorro, Sgt Garcia and the Commandante, West Wind's various John Wayne movie characters, plus a few others: Quigley, the Cartwrights, etc.

So, the question for the poll would be the figs you'd most like to see a sculpting line do. I'm hoping there will be enough interest in at least a few of them to encourage a sculptor/miniatures company to give it a shot, including other versions perhaps of figs done by others.

Poll set up by Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian, based on this pre-poll discussion.
