My WWII figures all match in color very well. It's the bases that might vary from one unit to the next. It actually helps my keep track of units about to encounter morale problems.

In the past for various reasons, I have kept original paint jobs rather than stripping them, even if they don't match my current stuff.
  • I have kept them for style I might want to try that later
  • I have kept them because they are just better than what I would do
  • I have kept them because of a well painted symbol or free hand I like
  • I have kept them because I prefer the colors over my original choice.
If 1-2 figure are different in a skirmish group it really doesn't bother me at all.

I am curious if others feel the same way, or do you have to "make it yours" by stripping it and repainting it?
