On 34-25 May, 1945, the Japanese launched twelve twin-engine planes carrying 120 commandos (the Giretsu Airborne Raiding Force) to attack Yontan airfield on Okinawa. The real attack was a fizzle (only one plane made it through, though the commandos did destroy 9 planes, damage 29 more, and set fuel stocks on fire). As a "what if" scenario, would you be interested in gaming the raid, assuming that more Japanese planes are able to land with their commandos? From 0 (no interest) to 10 (let's play this right now!). |
