I often see trade/sale advertisements that include the descriptor early in them. For example:

I have 4,000 early Edmontonian Miniatures War of Jenkin's Ear figures for sale.

I appreciate knowing the vintage of the figure and "early" is a valid descriptor. But my initial reaction to these titles is that "early" must mean poorly cast and sculpted.

I'm curious if other TMPers react the same way to that descriptor?
