Well, the trend with GW plastics for a looong time now seems to be replacing basic or core (non-elite) troop-types from metal to plastics in both WHFB & 40k, (has been the case with SM's, Eldar, Orks, Dwarves, IG, Dark Elves, etc.) so I think if one just figures out what metal troop types have not been converted over to plastic yet, one would be on the right track.

Another trend is converting over the larger/ogre-sized, up to giant-sized types from metal (or Forgeworld resin) to plastic (Terminators, WHFB Giant, 'nid Trygon, Daemon Prince, and most recently, Griffon & Rat Ogres.)

In my non-inside info opinion, since the Tomb Kings are waaaay overdue for an update, I'd be looking for plastic Tomb Guard (since the core units are already plastic) and either a plastic Ushabti, Carrion or Scorpion.

POLL DESCRIPTION

Uesugi Kenshin Supporting Member of TMP Inactive Member dares to pose the question...

Since muti-part plastic sets are clearly the wave of the future for 40K, what sets are crying out to be done next?

Poll note: This poll will be strictly for infantry sets, although I am including one vehicle option that definitely needs a plastic (affordable) set.

Poll options taken from this pre-poll discussion.
