As I went walking, I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.

Alternatively:

There was a big high wall there
That tried to stop me
Sign was painted, said; "Private Property"
But on the back side, it didn't say nothing
This land was made for you and me…

POLL DESCRIPTION

Personal logo John the OFM Supporting Member of TMP says:

I know all four verses of the Star Spangled Banner, to the chagrin of the late Pat Condray. grin It should be our national anthem.

However, my favorite is the Battle Hymn of the Republic. I sang the SATB arrangement by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in both high school and college. It brings a chill up me spine, yes it does.

It epitomizes what Americans, rightly or wrongly, however imperfectly, feel about their duty towards freedom.

We sang and learned them all in public school in the 50s and 60s.
