POLL DESCRIPTION

Personal logo John the OFM Supporting Member of TMP wonders...

Let's suppose you painted for your AWI British army the 3rd Foot back in 1982. Let's suppose you used the Hinchliffe figure in full kit charging.

Let us also suppose you were proud of your paint job, and even hand-painted the flags.

They have fought well for you, and never rout. Well, hardly ever...

Now, let us suppose that there are newer, prettier figures out, like Perry. Let's suppose that your painting has vastly improved. Let's suppose that GMBH or Flags for the Lads make excellent flags.

Do you:

  1. Give the lads an honorable retirement and replace them.
  2. Let them keep on soldiering. They are my Terrible Old Men, and it would be a shame to replace them.
I am firmly in the second camp. I'll be shot if I am going to replace a perfectly serviceable unit. Why paint the same regiment twice?
