Rhoderic III and counting wonders...
I usually try not to participate in talking about TMP on TMP, but this once I'd like to present a suggestion that I think is constructive.
If I want to discuss a book (fiction or non-fiction) about the Indian Mutiny, I can start a thread in the 19th Century Books forum. If I want to discuss a movie or TV show (fiction, documentary, whatever) about the Indian Mutiny, I "should" do it in TMP Plus, a cordoned-off part of TMP that I otherwise ignore, as do many other people. That seems like such an arbitrary division to me.
I gladly ignore all the rest of TMP Plus (save perhaps Boardgames), but I'm a little frustrated that Movies, Broadcast Entertainment, etc., have been relegated there while "regular" TMP has no less than 13 (by my count) specific "Books" boards.
Aside from movies and TV, I speak also of radio, podcasts, comic books and games. Anything that can serve as inspiration or a source of information for the setting/period in question. |
