I make sure of this when buying them."

Not happy over that statement at all – in fact it really bugs me

How so?

I have a lot of 25/28mm cowboys and pirates and FIW and...

Basically, the cast of Peter Pan. grin

A lot of figures. From many manufacturers.

There are many variations in height, build, etc., but the median seems to be those "compatible with Foundry or Perry."

A lot of manufacturers have made a lot of money from me by closely straddling that median.

What annoys me is when a new manufacturer makes some excellently sculpted figures that exceed the median by about a head in height. They have lost a customer in me. I wonder how many other people they have lost by going the 32mm route instead of the "true 28mm" route. It can't be that the sculptors do not have the talent!

I think there is more than a little bit of hubris in their attitude. "We are so good that you don't need any other figures." Maybe yes, maybe no. But what if I already have 200+ 28mm pirate figures?

Or, 80+ 28mm gladiators?

Or, 2000+ 15mm World War Two?

Or, 1000+ FIW/AWI skirmish figures?

Or...

I am annoyed, because I can't buy such nice figures! I can't use them!
