I'm curious to know which type of hill you prefer to use for your gameboard. To me, there seem to be two basic types:

The stepped hill with defined levels, not necessarily "natural" looking, but effective for movement and troop placement

or

The natural hill with a realistic look (think model railroad) that looks great, but is possibly more difficult to actually place troops on at certain points.
