I put a great deal of effort into terrain for certain projects. However, the problem with terrain is always storage. I need to get that better organized at the moment and have yet to get that figured out.

For many years I spent very little time on my terrain features. As my eyes start to fail, I find I put just as much effort into making and painting terrain for my games as my figures.

How much effort do you put into making and painting your terrain?
none at all
A couple books on the kitchen table works fine for me.
very little
I use a cloth covering for my table and I have spray painted some wood blocks.
a bit
I will paint stuff I buy with one or two colors and I use a few pieces I purchased that were already complete.
moderate
I have some nice pieces I have hand painted and I use stuff I have purchased. All in all my table is pretty nice even if I didn't do it all myself. My game tables rate a '5' or a '6'.
a great deal of effort
A great deal of effort. I hand craft and paint at least half the stuff you see on my table. My terrain pieces are painted to a standard that is similar to my well painted figures. My game tables rate at least a '7' or an '8'.
fanatical efforts
Baby, no one, and I mean no one, in my area puts more time and effort into the terrain on his table. Virtually all of my stuff is scratch built and painted to a very high standard. My tables are always 10+.
