Does it?

I thought a dip was an overall stain that created the illusion of shading by settling in the recesses and making them appear a darker shade when in fact it is a single colour applied all over the figure and not darker shades of each painted colour?

Does that make sense?
I am quite tired…

POLL DESCRIPTION

Writing in Battlegames, Bob Barnetson remarks that he's "...a big fan of the magic dip method of shading figures..." for 6mm scale. He uses a mix of "a brush full of black paint in a tablespoon of Future."

Do you dip your 6mm?
