This movie is about Ensign Jesse Brown and Lieutenant Tom Hudner. The true story is available with a google search. It's a powerful story about friendship during the 50's between a black man and a white man who are Naval Aviators. The movie concentrates more on Brown but doesn't say much about the racial segregation of the time except where it is necessary for the plot. It's a great film and is generally accurate about what happened to the two men during the Korean War. I don't usually like films about stuff I am familiar with, and I am not a movie buff in general but this movie left me with a slight tear in the eye and a feeling that it was two hours of my time well spent. Worth watching; I saw it on Netflix. |

I saw it when it was released in the theater. I also thought it was very moving. Jim |
