… I'm sure somewhere on the Interwebz, the three people who still drink that crap are up in arms with outrage.

I don't remember seeing Tab anywhere for over twenty years.

Unfortunately they are choosing not to produce hardly anything except Diet and Regular. Our tipple of choice was Splenda and when that was dropped for the "Emergency" we went with Zero and now that is being severely limited along with almost all other diet flavors. It makes one wonder if the ultimate goal is to restrict us to Victory Coke to aid in the fight against Eurasia. The excuses I've been given for the limits sound much like those for the great coin "shortage."

It's about sales volume. If a product isn't in the upper half of their line of 400 beverages it's getting the axe. Makes business sense and streamlines production.

We sold 40-50 cases a month at the store I work at. High up in the top ten of all canned soda for us. The people who drink it are close to being addicts.

Cans seem to be challenge for the beverage industry. Kegged beer is not being used as much as consumers are drinking at home and in smaller groups so the companies have switched to canned beer but now are running out of cans. The switch to premixed cocktails and hard selters has also put a strain on the cans.

Never tried Tab and now that I've been off soda for
several years, won't be trying it.

Tab was the second most horrible soft drink. The crowning champ IMHO was Shashta.

We were trying to figure out what it tasted like last night and nobody could remember. Some sort of Cherry flavour?

Which reminds me, whatever happened the Swiss Cream Soda?

Tab tasted like crap. Very bitter aftertaste. I see it going for $150 USD per 12-pack on ebay. Won't miss it. Coke Life, however, was a great lower sugar product. Still had 2/3 the sugar of Coke but tasted just like it. They have dropped that, too. They also dropped Feisty Cherry Diet Coke (also won't miss) and their Gurana soda in Brazil (Kuat). If they get rid of Coke Zero, it might be time for me to switch to water (and not faintly fruit hinted commercial bubble water).

Tab…wow, that's a blast from the past! Think I had a can in the mid-70s. Was not a pleasant experience.
