THIS YEAR SUCKS. We have lost a true rock genius, artist, and virtuoso of the first rank. Eddie van Halen has passed away from cancer at the age of 65. I'm not even a big fan of the group's style of rock, but I recognize what he accomplished and the profound influence he and the band had on music. Rest in peace.

Although overshadowed somewhat by Roth during its hey day, VH will always be his band. RIP Eddie.

Rest easy Eddie. Thanks for the music.

I aw them in concert 2x. That man could make that guitar talk. One of the greatest! Sleep easy now. He can jam with Jimi and other greats.
