link UConn led the way. The rest of NCAA will soon follow suit. Will the NFL be far behind? We can always have Mahomes and Brady play Madden 2020. |

Does anyone really care if the national kneeling league actually plays? Think not. |

Stonempuntain I gave up on the No Fans Left when they allowed the insult to our flag/anthem, haven't missed them. |

I hope that there is someone playing football in the fall. Also, welcome back OFM. |

My son was supposed to start a job with Allegiant Stadium in Vegas this month, as part of his goal of a career with the NFL. ( He was also supposed to work UNLV games.) Now it looks like that job won't happen. He has a good attitude about it all, and is looking for other opportunities, but obviously I'm concerned. |

The vote among the Big Ten schools was 12-2 to cancel the season. That says much about the state of collegiate Math. They can't even count anymore, let alone do arithmetic. |

That vote must have included a random die roll. |

Oh the horror! Think of these poor "student" athelets, where are they going to go to kneel? How will they be able to virtue signal? Will they ever recover? |

I stopped caring about the political beliefs and standings of those paid to entertain me years ago. Hey! Do you like Johnny Cash? |

Couldn't care less. It just reinforces something that occurred to me when this epidemic started. We've been told how brave some of these athletes are when they kneel or 'speak out' for the cause d'jour. We're told we should listen to what they have to say. Same thing with other groups we're told have views we should heed and follow; politicians, actors, singers, journalists, etc. These people are brave, heroic, stand up to injustice, oppression, whatever. Yet, when the covid hit what did they do? They tucked tail and hid. They locked themselves away from any threat and kept telling us how brave they are. Meanwhile average Americans; truck drivers, grocery store workers, nurses, police, delivery drivers, etc. just kept working. They went out and faced the disease every day. In my mind these 'average' Americans, people whose opinions aren't worth noting, (according to the talking class), because they don't make millions of dollars or live up to the woke standards of the talking class are far braver than these pampered athletes, actors, singers, politicians, journalists, and sundry others. It is my sincere hope that when this is over we reevaluate the kudos we give these 'influencers' and treat them with the disdain they've earned. |

The best college football is in the south, so as long as the SEC and ACC play, we're good. |

I've seen a few college games over the last few years, but can't really get into them much. Too many 'shalackings' to keep me interested for the most part, though there are some really good games as well. I've also seen that the CFL won't play now in 2020, which is a shame to me as I've enjoyed watching three-down football over the past five years or so. Gary |
