When in darkness or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. A headline guaranteed to get you clicks, but the EPA says glyphosate is not a carcinogen and the WHO says it's only a "probable" carcinogen. And the levels are really low. This study targeted hummus, but I bet you'd find the same thing in any processed vegetable food. We should write angry letters so that the food processors wash their vegetables more thoroughly, and it's always better to eat fresh vegetables. Other than that this is sort of a nothing burger. There are carcinogens *everywhere*. Here in well-run California we have prop 65 which requires a warning on anything or any place where people can be exposed to carcinogens. The prop 65 warning sign is on every hotel, restaurant, garage, henhouse, and outhouse. It's on toilet paper. Toilet paper has PCBs. PCBs are carcinogens. Use toilet paper, you are exposed to carcinogens. Prop 65 is useless. So, clickbait. |
