I never thought I'd see Pierce Brosnan as a grumpy Icelandic fisherman. But now I have and can die happy. It must have been quite a job making all those songs in different genre while also all having the Eurovision sound. |

Was it any good ? It got a bit panned on the BBC. link it sounds like it might be mildly entertaining – but probably no "odder" than the real Eurovision! YouTube link |

Don't know how fun it is for Americans who "don't get Eurovision " but it's probably as good a musical comedy about Eurovision is gonna get. The story itself isn't much, but some of the characters are very fun. Like the Russian opera singer who is the spitting image of George Michael. It even has elves in it. And the musical numbers are good. I particularly like the party medley. |

It is the first Will Ferrell film that I have wanted to see but it is on Netflix to which I do not subscribe! |

Don't know how fun it is for Americans who "don't get Eurovision " It's not that complicated – every European nation (including Australia) pick a song by their own arcane methods, everyone sings their song at a big show and then every nation (by their own arcane voting method) decide which ones were the best. And the UK comes last. Not so tricky ! Like this one, very Eurovision: YouTube link |
