Jonas Bender, one of the first black Marines in WW2 and a graduate of the segregated Montford Point training program, has died.

I heard a presentation on WWII Black Marines a few years back. Amazingly resilient men who did great service to the country. RIP Marine, guard the streets of Heaven with my Dad a WWII Marine.
