"The number of confirmed global deaths from the novel coronavirus on Wednesday surpassed 300,000, as health experts continue to warn that reopening parts of the world too quickly could cause a second wave of infections.

More than 4.4 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported worldwide and roughly 300,070 people have died from it, according to a Johns Hopkins University database. Health experts say that the death toll could be higher given a lack of transparency from China and other countries…"

The question is just how many of those deaths were actually due to this disease since the numbers have been inflated.

But with around 150,000 dying everyday on average across the world inflating the numbers for COVID 19 is really easy to do.

Plus the real number of cases is probably around 80-100+ million now so the 5%-6% death rate is nothing but a lie.

But one that is being brought by many individuals because they really think that only 4.427 Million have gotten this disease.

Oh and 74 million is around 1% of the World Population so real number of cases is just around that number plus some.

So there was no real danger at all but the Fear & Panic that has been spread by the Media and Others has resulted in draconian orders and loss of rights.

"No real danger at all"
Yep, so this is all normal, just move along just a traffic accident, nothing to see.

Memento Mori15 May 2020 12:27 p.m. PST

Interesting 5 of the top 6 are lead by "populist" politicians that originally downplayed the seriousness of the outbreak and claimed, at times, that w everything was under control. (Don't know enough about Spain to opine)

Mithmee15 May 2020 1:49 p.m. PST

That has nothing to do with anything.

Asteroid X15 May 2020 2:21 p.m. PST

Considering 1.25 million die annually from traffic accidents, this really may be nothing to see all that differently.

Not saying that 5 out of 6 means anythings I will leave that up to the number experts who doctor stats to suit their purpose Just interesting

Except traffic accidents are not contagious. If your car had an accident just because it was parked in the same parking lot as another car who had a previous accident, we would reconsider how we do things.

Cerdic16 May 2020 8:43 a.m. PST

Yes, and the death toll from Covid19 is in ADDITION to the regular deaths from traffic accidents, cancer, falling down a hole, etc, etc….

Mithmee16 May 2020 10:24 a.m. PST

Hard to tell since they are putting dying from Cancer down as dying from COVID 19 and if they could they would tag those who died in a car accident down as COVID 19 as well.

Around 150,000 die each day from a wide variety of ways.

So easy to just claim that it was COVID 19 that killed them.

Evidence, Mithmee, evidence! You have none. You can believe whatever nonsense you like, but where is the evidence, hard evidence, that coroners and physicians nationwide are conspiring to falsify death certificates? Since honest statistics help the scientific and medical communities to formulate successful strategies, what possible reason could they have to disguise the facts?

You make no sense, whatsoever.

…but where is the evidence, hard evidence, that coroners and physicians nationwide are conspiring to falsify death certificates?

Well, there is this:

Colorado has made a stunning and significant change to the way it counts COVID-19 deaths that reduced the statewide figure from more than 1,000 to 878, according to a report.

The change came after Colorado's Department of Public Health admitted that its COVID-19 death toll was counting those who tested positive for the coronavirus but had died of other causes, Fox 31 Denver reported late Friday…

Repiqueone16 May 2020 6:27 p.m. PST

Bill, do you ever source anything but Fox News? It is neither stunning or significant. The process is one that has been going on in all states, including Colorado. There will recounts over time that most expect will take the total up. There were 1,192 deaths among the Covid Patients in the hospital. Of that number, as of today 878 were deemed directly caused by Covid. This is a correction for clarity, and no indication of a coverup, just the opposite. It might also be said that it simply distinguishes, as Mithmee states they don't do, between people that while suffering from Covid die of a pre- existing condition, from those to which the doctors determine died primarily from Covid. One of the characteristics of the disease is comorbidities are common. Using the words stunning , significant, and that they " admitted" is just the sort of bias I thought the right was against! There was another correction issued at the end of April. There will be others.

None of those words apply to a fairly transparent process aimed at getting accurate numbers. Throughout this process there will be ongoing updates and possible corrections, though I don't think it will appreciably change the fact that a lot of people are catching a highly infectious disease and people are dying at a pretty noticeable rate in Colorado, the US, and world wide. Note: 90,000 deaths were recorded as of today in the US.

Here are some reporting issues and problems:
link

COVID-19 deaths continue to rise across the country, but states are still debating exactly how to count virus-related fatalities.

Last week, the CDC updated its case counts to include probable COVID-19 deaths -- that is, those without a confirmed positive test -- in the nationwide tally.

While many infectious disease specialists and epidemiologists believe that the addition of probable cases will more accurately reflect the COVID-19 death toll, how to go about it remains uncertain.

link
So the CDC says you can report a death by COVID-19 even if you can't confirm it from a test.

Florida, which currently reports 960 deaths, has continued to report only fatalities with a confirmed positive test for COVID-19, according to a statement from the Florida State Emergency Operations Center. The agency told MedPage Today that its counting method is subject to change, and it is up to Florida County Medical Examiners to attribute cause of death.

Florida uses one method, other states use other methods, CDC says you claim it without a test. So how many deaths attributed to the virus? Who knows?

If you don't have pre-existing health problems it appears you could be pretty safe but many people have severe underlying problems and are unaware of them.

Stay healthy my friends.

Evidence, Mithmee, evidence! You have none.

I have already posted weeks ago.

But you are the one who is so sure that each and every single death that they are claiming to be from COVID 19.

Well there not and the death toll is inflated.

You just do not want to believe that since it goes against their agenda, which you agree with completely.

How about this?

Different countries/states are recording deaths in all sorts of different ways and with varying time lags. The only way you can get an accurate handle on the number of deaths attributable to C-19 is to look at the increase in deaths per month for 2020 compared to the same month on a 5 or 10 year average (given that we can have good and bad years for seasonal flu.)

U.K. recorded deaths for March and April 2020 are running at record numbers, higher than even the worst figures of the last 10 years, let alone the average. Some of those deaths are due to people avoiding hospitals and not seeking urgent assistance following heart attack or stroke, but that's balanced by a reduction in fatal RTAs etc.

Mithmee17 May 2020 11:14 a.m. PST

Dn Jackson,

We can post those type articles everyday and well many will believe that that individual and many more were killed by COVID 19.

They believe what they are being told completely and do not question it at all.

So yes the death toll in inflated and no amount of evidence is going to make certain individuals here believe that.
