So a new game that is coming this September is a RTS from King Art games.

Iron Harvest – 1920

Basically this is a game where World War I did not happen and Mechs were developed and there was a Factory that was developed by Nick Tesla.

So while World War I did not happen the Invasion of Poland by Russia does and you play as a hero of Polania.

Looks petty good.

Too bad that I have to wait until September since I will be having this Friday and Monday off since I am reaching my Max vacation hours at work.

Yup, I work and take very little time off.

I presume your company has a 'use it or lose it'
policy vis-a-vis 'excess accrued' vacation ?

I knew a person who worked for our state government
(same policy). She worked at NCSU in the print shop
and was frequently denied the opportunity to take
vacation when she applied for it.

Add to that, she sometimes had to work overtime,
holidays and week-ends, for which she was not paid,
but was awarded 'comp time,' which she also
could not use some of the time.

She retired, got her great-grandaughter (LLD)
to negotiate with the state and came away with
a significant hunk of money.

My ex-mother-in-law. Good woman.

Yup it does and this year they went to "Paid Time Off" and combined our vacation and sick leave together.

The end results of that was losing 40 hours in total for the year.

Still this game looks quite good.

Well, I bought it and now I'm stuck in the tutorial and can't seem to find my way out.I have to shoot a deer with a rifle and despite following the instructions exactly I can't hit the darn thing and I can't advance into the real game until I do. Not real happy.

Okay, finally got the deer! Now in a series of fairly simple missions with nothing but infantry. It plays very much like Company of Heroes 1 (which I liked a lot). Eager to get into the Steampunk aspects of this.
