If TH is in it I'm there, though he'll always be Captain Miller to me when it comes to WWII.

It amazes me that Tom hanks seems to be able to look as old or as young as he needs to for the role. Definitely going to see this.

…a film about Operation Pedestal and directed by Nolan.

Too early to tell Let's see if some allied forces are in it or will it be another example of how the USA won the war by themselves.

Trailer sure looks good.

1) Fletchers weren't used in the North Atlantic until at least July 1943.

2) Tom Hanks is too old.

3) The red icons/graphics on the conning towers of the U-Boats is way too big and Hollywood.

But as the cigar-chomping producer said during the story-board phase of production, "Make it BIG!!!

It's about time they made a movie about destroyers! My dad served on DDs and DEs in the late 1950's. If he were still with us, he would probably love to watch this.

Fun fact: the highlight of his Navy time was being aboard the ship used by Jerry Lewis to film his comedy, "Don't Give Up The Ship". We watched to see if we could spot him among the sailors aboard, but they all looked the same to us.

Here's hoping Hanks and the missus will be OK.

Well it is one thing to make a claim and another to actually be positive.

It does get him 2-3 weeks out of shooting movie.

Plus who makes a Elvis movie in Australia?

Will not be in the theaters and will be on Apple.

So looks like I have to wait until the Bluray comes out.
