Amazing and innovative. No one played like he did before he hit the scene and few were quite as on the edge. Or as often over it!

Saw him with Cream, Blind Faith and Ginger Baker's Airforce and enjoyed them all. That was a long time ago.

Not forgotten.

Watched "Beware of Mr Baker" – the BBC put it on as a tribute – and the whole time in all the footage over the years he only looked really happy when he was drumming (although he obviously enjoyed Polo too!)
