He gave us all a *lot*.

First person to buy a computer exclusively to play games. The Raytheon 704 had a CPU running at 1 kHz and had 8k of memory.

He got a lot of important people started.

He was a visionary, but not a self-aggrandizing one. Let's be thankful such a person existed. We could use a lot more like him.
