Well this was terrible news to wake to – Dr John has died from a heart attack link I had the great pleasure of seeing him perform several times in recent years, in pretty small venues. He was amongst the most memorable musicians I've ever seen. Famous for "Gris-Gris" of course, but (much) later albums like Tribal and Locked-Down are among his best. Look at his musical CV and acknowledge that there'll never be another. With Roky dying a few days ago this is turning into a bad week for great music. |

My bad,that was Robert John who did that one. "Right Place-Wrong Time" was what the Doc did. Got my Johns mixed up there. |
