"Paramount has released the first trailer for Crawl. The upcoming survival horror/disaster film follows Haley (Kaya Scodelario) who tries to find her missing father (Barry Pepper) during a hurricane only to become trapped as the flood waters rise. Oh, and those flood waters are filled with gators. Sharks have definitely had their moment, but what about other predators? I'd say that it's time for gators to have their moment, and watching two folks fight off gators seems like fun times. This trailer does a good job of selling the horror while not taking itself too seriously. In fact, I'm glad they're not going too goofy because when you're winking at the audience, the movie can be tedious, so this looks like the right amount of seriousness. My biggest qualm with the trailer is referring to Sam Raimi was "a producer of Evil Dead", which, yeah, he produced the remake, but he's done a few other notable films as well. In fact, if you were going to play up the freewheeling horror aspect, you might mention Army of Darkness and Drag Me to Hell. But sure, he's also "a producer of Evil Dead."…" Trailer here link Amicalement Armand |
