Well it will be out this Christmas. YouTube link Odds on Lando being alive at the end well I would say… Slim to None As for Leia… None |

Very odd title for it though. Hope it is better than VIII. |

I'm working under the assumption the Rey is Luke's daughter. I got excited to see it, but I was excited to see them all… 'nuff said |

I agree with you PzGeneral. Which leaves the question of… Who is going to play Mara Jade. |

Who is going to play Mara Jade No one. If Disney included a "Mara Jade," they'd have to pay royalties based on that. No, they'll introduce Someone Completely New, and keep the bucks for themselves. The EU is dead, as far as movies are concerned. My bet for Luke's consort, if that is the case, would be "Doctor Alpha" from the current graphic novels. |

Looks great – can't wait. At last, the saga is complete! |

Perhaps the big question about this film would be ,"Is Disney catering to just the new generation of SW fans or new and old fans alike? VII had the coolness of reuniting characters (sadly, not altogether in one location), but the story was eh. Han Solo deserved a much better exit than what he got. VIII could have done some cool things… but they did not. I wait and see what else will they do to lure people to the movie theaters. |

Having seen Star Wars when it first came out, I'm quite keen to see the end. Was less interested in the trilogy of prequels than I have been in the trilogy of sequels,if you see what I mean. The saga is a trilogy of three trilogies – but because we all started with episode IV it has been Episodes IV-VIII that I've enjoyed the most so far because they have advanced Luke/Han/Leia's story. |

Who is going to play Mara Jade? Jeez, I had to go look that up. I've seen all the movies but I'm not as big a fanboy as some. The last two films looked real nice but the story telling didn't really involve me. I'll still see IX, but I'm not holding my breath for anything special. |

I am underwhelmed. The SW Sequels have been utter garbage IMHO. The story is disjoint and there is too much filler. Sad because I quite like the characters, so maybe not utter garbage. Just the story line. I did enjoy Rogue I and Solo. Both hit the original trilogy vibe and had reasonably sound stories. My only gripe of Solo was Darth Maul. That wooden character that somehow people love. Apparently he can survive getting cut in two and taking a tremendous fall. That said, I'll go see it if only because my son will insist. Who know, I might be pleasantly surprised. |

If Rey is Luke's daughter, then he really is a miserable little git. Letting her go off alone to face Kylo and Snoke on her own. What sort of father would do that? |

We'll see what happens when it's released. Already anticipating a Mad Magazine satire of the movie. |

I'll go see it if for no other reasons than I have a theater pass membership (AMC Stub A-List) which allows me to watch up to 144 new movies a year and a blog to maintain (Movies According to Dave). But I must admit I'm jaded where SW is concerned: TMP link And having seen the trailer, I would say Rey must be a Skywalker if she could do an acrobatic backflip somersault like that (presumably) cutting the Tie Fighter in two with her lightsaber. If that's not considered to be "badass" then I don't know what is. |

I can bearly pay attention to the new SW movies, I managed to hang on to force awakens and last jedi, at least enough to get the general gist of it. But rogue one and Solo, I honestly though they were the most boring movies I've seen in years. After an hour of Solo, I realised I had no interest in the movie, it was stupid and boring so I turned it off. I would have done the same with rogue one if not for the funny droid. For all the correct flak the prequel movies got, at least there was a point, there was intrigue, drama etc. They were just badly made and written. These new movies are literally just boring characters going from point a to b to c. With stuff blowing up and effects that are just average. If they didn't have a star wars theme, they would have been in the same category as The Marine 3 and Death Wish 6. |

I'll end up seeing it, but it'll basically just be collecting the last sticker in a set. It was a little while ago I realised I really don't care about the Next Gen Star Wars. It feels like everyone is supposed to hate the prequels, and while I've never sat through Ep1 again I do enjoy Clone Wars and Sith. This third trilogy though, I couldn't care less about the characters. Seems like they're resurrecting the Death Star in Ep9 (again). The voiceover on the trailer, 'No one ever really dies' did make me wince; try telling that to 6.8 million Imperial casualties (and counting) and everyone on Alderaan the day of da big boom… Gary |

Seems like they're resurrecting the Death Star in Ep9 (again). I don't see why this was a surprise – it's not as if anyone stopped building aircraft carriers after the first one got sunk. "Oh, they can be sunk, let's never build another one" was not the response more like "Oh, they can be sunk but they are so darn useful let's build some more" |

Well they did lose their Planet Weapon so why not go back and attempt to make a moveable super weapon. I still would not want to serve on it because it is going to get blown up just like the last two. |

I just saw it and thought it was good. It did have some funny moments. I had trouble near the end understanding why they couldn't launch the Star Destroyers without an antenna, or who were all those people in the stands (did they have to buy tickets?), or what happened to the other Empire ships thru-out the galaxies (did they just lose hope and crash into something?)? I was impressed by Kylo Ren. When he changes his mind, I thought wow, he really goes all the way. I guess the 2nd time he had some help so that better explains it I think. I don't know if Finn ever told Rey what he wanted to say as they sunk into the sand, or who that Empire Admiral was and how he knew who the traitor was (maybe he was just taking a shot at it; get it?; sorry). Well it was fast paced for me so maybe I'll watch it again. Maybe. |
