YouTube link Amazing. I never even heard of this album before.
Apparently it wasn't as groundbreaking as Ray Charles doing two Country albums, but I like it. |

Duke Ellington said that there were only 2 kinds of music, good and bad.
Notes say that this album came out in 1965, while Brother Ray's came out in 1964. That's a great song, by the way. Starts out sweet, and towards the end it's "Just wait, Sweetheart. You'll get yours."
Ray sang it. Ray sang a duet with Willie. Willie sang it, of course. You could do a whole album of fantastic covers.
I hadn't even heard of this before and it blew me away.
And it's even stranger how I heard of it just now. It was in an article about one of the more obscure 2020 candidates. But I won't link to it. POLITICS!  |

Lots of good covers of Willie's song. It's kind of the opposite of Dave Mason's "We Just Disagree". We know whose fault it is.  |
