Looks great, and always liked both actors. Nice to see law enforcement being the good guys instead of all the praise and admiration for the murdering A-holes Bonnie and Clyde (and Dillinger and all the rest Hollywood loves to idolize). |

Interesting take on Bonnie & Clyde from the Law Enforcement perspective. When I see Costner in this I can't help but think of "The Untouchables." Keep expecting Sean Connery to show up with a sawed off shotgun. Nice cars and bikes. Costumes seem correct. Right down to the watches. Hollywood likes bad guys because audiences likes them more. They are usually more interesting characters and they sell more tickets. There are exceptions like "The Untouchables," "Dirty Harry" franchise and countless other cop movies. "Bonnie & Clyde" had the advantages of a romance between the two main characters. Great script and marvelous performances. At the time anything anti-establishment was very popular with the movie going public. Like "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" one of my favorites. |

Finally something to watch on Netflix. I had been contemplating canceling it. Saw everything I wanted to see the first week. Some of it I had already seen on other networks and in one case a show that was actually showing on another network for free at the same time. |

Hancock is an excellent director, that generally does justice to a historic period. His Alamo, is not only the best Alamo film but the best film set in the horse and musket period. Fantastic canister, and brutal volleys. |

Well there is the fact that Bonnie never shot anyone. The killings done by the gang were done by Clyde and other male members of the gang. The Barrow Gang killed at least nine police officers and several others. Out of the gangs from back then it was more than likely the most violent. It also did not steal a lot either since they tended to job vary small town banks and stores so getting a few thousand at best. |

Reading some historical accounts of Bonnie and Clyde, she was certainly no angel but yeah, the jury is out whether she ever shot anyone. The one scene in the trailer where she walks up to the lying down motorcycle cops and kills them, that is based on an account by an individual that was proved to be a liar. Also one of the men who shot the cops that day testified that he and Clyde did it and Bonnie did not even get out of the car. That said I'm not defending any of that bunch. You run wild and rob and shoot/kill people, if the authorities shoot you then, too bad. I happen to think Bonnie was a suicidal personality. I'm definitely gonna watch that flick though, love that era. |
