"Homes just keep getting smarter by the year. New technology makes previously labor-intensive jobs a snap as well as offers functionality you have never dreamed of.

Whether you have mobility issues and need support to move around the house, or need to manage your front door when you're not at home, you can do that now…."

Don't have any of those things … and don't plan on getting any of 'em. Of course I still have a flip phone …

Most likely first for me would be the chair lift.

Hmm, nothing in the article about machine gun turrets, barbed wire entanglements and mine fields. Yet I'm sure there are some surplus from the Maginot Line.

As soon as I read the topic title I guessed I don't have any of them and don't care. And I don't have a flip phone. (But a Tricorder would be cool).

And including a stair lift because it is "cool and revolutionary" is a callous affront to those individuals with mobility issues. No one gets these, or bathtub lifts or step in sitting showers to be "cool". I guess wheelchairs and wheelchair ramps are "cool and revolutionary" too?
