4 PM on Friday and the work day was over at the High school at worked at and most of the school district as well. We would gather at Gordie's and have a drink or two before heading our separate ways for the weekend. You would find Joanne, the Assistant Superintendent's wife, at the juke box and she would always play the Tennessee Waltz; and many times danced with her. Good memories. Thanks for bringing them out for me.

My mother always said that that song was the very first song she ever danced to on her first ever date. Every time I hear that song I think of her.

And I still remember meeting Patti Page herself. It was fantastic, and so was she.
