Rather surprised when I saw the headline at the delay.

I am not sure of how long the backlog is, but it takes time to schedule burials of past veterans at Arlington. As an example, I know of a late WWII Army veteran who was awarded the bronze star during the Bulge and later was taken as a POW. It took over 6 months for the ceremony to take place and almost a year for his wife to be laid to rest beside him. This was over two years ago.

From earlier releases he was to be buried near his home, but if you look at the picture of the flag folding, His ashes are being interred.

Very nice. Thought about going there in the end but maybe I'll just stay in Texas.

He also liked to parody his tough guy image from time to time("The Frighteners","Family Guy","The Simpsons") and ads for Geico,Wonderful Pistachios, even a beer commercial.
