Saw the new Transformers spin-off over the weekend. Excellent popcorn flick in the Spielberg tradition. It's not like the other Transformers movies at all. Highly recommended.

I saw Bumblebee last night; I thought it was too violent for younger kids, but perfect for 10 and up. The story wasn't shockingly original, but it made sense and it had heart. The movie didn't try to do too much, but it left the door open for further adventures. If this is the direction they want to take the series, I'm all for it.
