Who passed away a couple days ago. It's not really enough to mourn his passing. He was just so gosh darned talented and likeable, that the only thing to do is listen to him at his best.

Fil has some of the best "analysis" videos around. He REALLY appreciates what he hears (and sees), and passes on to we ignorami what the experts see.

Roy is shown as a virtuo, a showman, and an all around nice guy. He lets the kid shine. His grin at the kid's playing says it all. Plus his mugging during the performance.

Celebrate Roy.

I spent the summer of 1972 with my great-grandmother. My sister had just been born and I was shipped to the family farm so my parents only had to deal with her. My grandmother only watched two shows, Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw.

I still don't care for Lawrence Welk. I miss Roy.

My memories are similar. My family used to visit my grandparents' farm every summer. Hee Haw was one of the few shows they always watched. Ever since, whenever I hear a Roy Clark song it always reminds me of those times as a kid.

Heard his instrumental of "(Ghost) Riders In The Sky" recently. Fantastic. Won an award for another,"Alabama Jubilee".

May he rest in peace. Thanks,Roy, for the laughs and your music. He was one of my late father's favorites during the 70s. I was never a country/western fan, but still enjoyed his music and humor. As everyone has said, some great memories.

Peace be with you brother Roy, can't wait to hear the band you'll have up there. You were one of the last old style musicians.God bless and keep you sir.

I saw him perform at the Grand Ole Opry on June 1, 1991. He had incredible talent and by all accounts was a great guy.

Thanks for that John/Winston. I didn't know. I hate country music but I loved Roy Clark. That's as good a eulogy as I can give him. Also first saw him on Hee Haw. I'll head over and give a listen to Old Wolfman's suggestion. Great song and great artist.
