"On 5 September 2015, the notoriously unreliable web site Before It's News published an article stating that the Burger King fast food chain had "now admitted after continuous denial that it has actually been selling UK customers both burgers and Whoppers that contain horsemeat":…"

This is probably a smear thing for some political statements or lack thereof.

Dan
PS. Did I ever mention how I don't believe anything the media says any more? Sspecially if it comes from Snopes. :)

Horse meat is better than no meat, which would be the case for most fast food joints. ;-)

I'd rather eat a whale than a horse.

Yes I did click on it. And I wrote my post AFTER Ihad read it.

I'm talking about anti-restaurant and other rumors in general, and how they still spread, even when the article goes on to say it is false.

And, the sad thing is that they know it. That's exactly the effect they are after. They know their "readers", us, way better than we know them and their motivations.

Dan
PS. And then there are those articles in which Snopes (or a similar site) will say the rumor is false, but then they list more evidence for than against.
