This started a few days ago: Using Edge or Chrome with Windows 10, I cannot connect to sites that feature video, such as YouTube or Netflix. Can't run video from news or sports sites. Connecting to any site is hit and miss, with one try failing, and the next connecting. Sometimes, I am having problems downloading pictures if there are more than a few on a site. Can't connect to any Microsoft site for help.

There have been no updates since the problem started, antivirus and security software don't find any problems. None of the onboard troubleshooting finds any problems. None of the help sites that I've found seem to address my specific problem, or reference settings that I don't have, or udates that I don't have.

Five other devices continue to work on the network without trouble.

I've done basic stuff like cleaning out cookies, cache, histories, etc.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
irishserb

I work in a college library and computers connecting to video has been like a whack a mole this semester.

You should still have Internet Explorer on your Windows 10 system. Try that and Firefox (ESR version).

You might also see if your Chrome is up to date or you have some weird addon running.

Netflix uses Starlight and that could be a problem. You can actually call Netflix for help.

While I work in a university library also, video has not been the issue. It is our newer security settings that have been driving us nuts.
