This is a joke, right?

Am I the only one sick of remakes and "re-imagined" productions? It seems like that's all the Studios can do these days … kill all the joy out of nostalgia characters. That and more mutant/metahuman movies based on comic books.

I believe it is supposed to be about Errol Flynn but the trailer looks like usual Hollywood drivel.

Dan, are getting your undergarments twisted because you thought they are remaking or re-imagining this?:

Probably based on his autobiography "My Wicked, Wicked Ways"

Yep. I was thinking of In Like Flint. That teaches me not to post when I haven't slept.

I agree with you, by the way. Who could replace James Coburn?

Still a Flint reboot or Matt Helm would be nice if done right…Which it probably wont be

Mithmee02 Sep 2018 11:14 p.m. PST

Oh Matt Helm would rock and not those comic Dean Martin movies.

Would have to be true to the books.

I always suggest Jeremy Renner for just about every role that doesn't demand a pretty boy.
Good action bona fides.
In fact I would recommend him for anything you would recommend Steve McQueen for. Like Jske Dodds in The Chinese Bandit. grin
It's not like yet another Batman or Spider Man origin movie. Yes, they do get stale.
Even if it were In Like Flint, aren't those movies 50 years old?

We're allowed to do as many Shakespeare revivals as we can squeeze in. Ditto La Travista or the Ring cycle. What makes movies so special?

The definitive treatment of Errol Flynn was My Favorite Year.

Mithmee04 Sep 2018 12:10 p.m. PST

For Matt Helm I think that Jon Hamm would work.
