Today I had two pieces of spam in my junk folder and realised that they were the first spam I've had in well over a month. I remember days when there were over a 100 pieces some days and never less than double figures. Has it dropped of this much everywhere or just me forgotten about or what? How is your spam level now. x42 |

I've always been cautious and never got that much spam to begin with and nowadays it's rare. I also suspect that the use of email had dipped with a lot of people in the instant message smartphone age, making spam less profitable as it used to be. |

I see very little. Probably four or five genuine, uninvited scams per year. I get some email from businesses I use, but I can reliably unsubscribe from those. I get more robocalls than spam email by far, probably 2-3 calls per day on the landline, 1-2 calls per week on the mobile. Text msg spam is rare. I'm not sure why I'm so lucky. I have been somewhat careful, but not fastidious. Maybe SBCGLOBAL.NET and Gmail are really good at catching it. |

Interesting that there is an opinion that Gmail is really
good at catching spam. I get 8 to 10 Spam e-mails/day. ALL FROM GMAIL ADDRESSES (INCLUDING MINE, WHICH I DON'T
HAVE)! Almost all seeking my bank account number so they can
send me money/etc. |

Well since you asked…. no not YOU! Wonder what security is like on here?
Because, a month ago I published my 'user addy' to have someone contact me (since the pm process is paid up only) and now have 50x MORE SPAM PHISHING being shovelled my way. That is a helluva coincidence for an account that is ONLY used for hobby purposes, and has been used on iogroups and other select places without such before now for sveral years. No, not geemail either…
