Seals are loving the warm weather there and now the seal population is up to 50,000 and reaching 10 feet in length. By the same token, the number of large Great Whites spotted off that beach has gone from just 5 in 2009, to 147 in 2016.
And now the Great Whites are visiting other Massachusetts beaches where the humans swim: link "Exponential population growths", according to experts: link link Some locals are even asking for a culling if the seals. So … when visiting Cape Cod and other nearby beaches, swim at your own risk. And try not to look like a seal. :) Dan TMP link TMP link
