I was greatly saddened yesterday to hear the news that Dean West had passed away as a result of cancer. Dean was devoted to the Seven Years War Association and organized the convention for a number of years. Dean also helped John Hill in the development of the Johnny Reb set of ACW rules along with his own SYW variant called "The Final Argument of Kings " You can read more about Dean in the memorium that I posted on my blog: link Dean, you will be missed. |

My condolences. I had the pleasure of playing in one of his games many years go at (I think) Historicon. It was when he first released FAoK, and it was my introduction to gaming the SYW. He was a great ambassador for the period, and for the hobby in general. |

Played in 7YW game Dean ran a very long time ago.
My memory of it is pleasant to recall. RIP, Dean, and thanks for all your contributions to
our hobby. |
