And the Red Devils start it off with a win ,topping Leicester 2-1 on Friday.Saturday saw the first red card of the season issued,to Everton's Phil Jagielka for a foul against Wolves' Jota. That match ended in a 2-2 draw. Richardson( Toffees) scored a brace,and the Wolves caught up with an equalizer in the final minutes of the second half. Meanwhile ,Chelsea tops Huddersfield 3-0,Spurs 2-1 over Newcastle,Watford 2-0 over Brighton,ditto for Bournemouth over Cardiff and Palace over Fulham. Liverpool thumps West Ham 4-0 on Sunday,Not a sausage for Southampton/Burnley,and 2-0 to ManCity over Arsenal.

Week 2 results so far;Cardiff/Newcastle,not a sausage and the Geordies lose Hayden to a red card for a rather rough foul on the Bluebirds' Murphy.. Likewise Leicester holds on for a 2-0 win over the Wolves,in spite of Jamie Vardy being sent off in the 66th minute for a bad foul on the Wolves' Doherty. Everton tops Southampton 2-1,as do Bournemouth over West Ham and Spurs top Fulham 3-1 and Chelsea 3-2 over Arsenal.

Sunday saw ManCity continue it's drive for a repeat with Sergio Aguero knocking in a hat trick,for an eventual 6-1 win over Huddersfield(one City goal was an own goal by the Terriers' Kongolo),Brighton edged ManUtd. 3-2,and a 3-1 topping by Watford over Burnley. Monday,Liverpool dropped Palace 2-0,who played a man short when Wan-Bissaka was sent off for a serious foul in the 79th minute, against Mo Saleh.

And the Chels are on top after dinging Newcastle 2-1(the Geordies' Yadlin with an own goal),followed by Liverpool who got a 1-0 win over Brighton. All square at 1 each for Wolves/ManCity,Arsenal gets it's first win of the season as the Goonahs top the Hammers 3-1. Not a sausage for Huddersfield/Cardiff,and a Terrier(Hogg)is sent off in the 67th minute. Leicester 2-1 over Southampton(Saints' Hojbjerg sent off),Watford over Palace 2-1,Fulham 4-2 over Burnley for the Cottagers' first win of the season and not only a 2-2 draw for Bournemouth/Everton,both sides had player sent off(Richarlison for the Toffees for foul against the Cherries' Adam Smith,but not long after,Smith is red-carded too.)

are some early results. ManCity just finished with a 2-1 win over Newcastle,and no bookings in this particular match. Liverpool edging Leicester,also 2-1. 2-0 wins for Southampton over Palace and Chelsea over Bournemouth. 1-0 to the Wolves over West Ham. 1-1 draw for Everton/Huddersfield and all square at 2-2 for Brighton/Fulham.( Seagulls' Glenn Murray scoring a brace)

And Sunday's matches,Watford edged Spurs 2-1 with the Hornets' Doncoure making an own goal(Tottenham's lone goal). Arsenal dings Cardiff 3-2(7 yellow cards given,3 to the Bluebirds,4 to the Goonahs)and ManUtd hangs on to win 2-0 over Burnley,in spite of playing a man short when Rashford got a straight red card in the 71st minute. Both sides also had 2 yellow cards each.

Bournemouth 4-2 over Leicester,,the Cherries' Ryan Fraser with a brace,but 3 yellows and the Foxes get 4 yellows and a red card for Wes Morgan(2nd yellow).Palace edges Huddersfield 1-0 with a yellow for the Terriers and 2 yellows for the Eagles. 3-0 clean sheet for ManCity over Fulham;no bookings. ManUtd drops Watford 2-1,even with a man short as Matic was sent off on second yellow/red,and the Hornets had 2 yellows as well. Wolves 1-0 over Burnley(Jimenez with the lone goal for Wolves, who also had 2 yellow cards to Burnley's 4 yellows) and West Ham gets it's first win of the season in over Everton ,3-1,but paid for it with Arnautovic being taken off the pitch with an injury,and 5 yellow cards to the Toffees' 2 yellows). Everton 2-1 over Leicester with Wes Morgan(Foxes) sent off after a second YC/RC for a bad foul,with 3 more YC's also,and the Toffees came away with a single YC. Wolves(4 YC's) 1-0 over Palace(3 YC's).All square 1-1 for Burnley/Huddersfield;both getting 2 YC's. Bournemouth(1 YC) thumped Watford(5 YCs/1 RC) 4-0. Meanwhile,results from the weekend;Arsenal topped Bournemouth 2-1,1 given to the Goonahs came from a Jefferson Lerma(Bournemouth) own goal.1-1 draw for Leicester/Brighton(Foxes'James Maddison being sent off after a second yellow card(red),and another Leicester player taken off due to injury. Everton dings Cardiff 1-0 ,Fulham gets it's first win in a while,3-2 over Southampton,not a sausage for ManUtd/Palace,Spurs hand Chelsea it's first loss,3-1. Liverpool tops Watford 3-0,but the Reds lose Jordan Henderson on a red card(2nd YC),ManCity keeps it's lead in the tables with a 4-0 thumping of West Ham(2 coming from a Leroy Sane brace),and Huddersfield gets it's first win in a while 2-0,over Wolves,and moves into 14th spot for now with Mooy(Terriers) knocking in a brace.

And a 2-1 win for Newcastle over Burnley. First goal to the Geordies came from a Burnley own goal in the 4th minute by Ben Mee. Only one Newcastle player got booked;in the last minute of second half stoppage time. And this weekend,Cardiff/Wolves on Friday. Saturday;Palace/Burnley,Huddersfield/Brighton,Leicester/Watford,ManCity/Bournemouth,Newcastle/West Ham and Southampton/ManUtd.. Sunday is the Merseyside Derby with Liverpool hosting Everton,and London sees some good action with Chelsea/Fulham,and Arsenal/Spurs,as well as the aforementioned Palace/Burnley match.

To begin with,Cardiff topped the Wolves 2-1 last Friday. Saturday,a 2-1 win for Brighton over 10 man Huddersfield(Steve Mounie of the Terriers being sent off 32 minutes in for spiking a Brighton player),2-0 to Palace over Burnley,ditto Leicester over Watford(who also was short when Hornet Etienne Capoue was given a red card in the 90th minute. ManCity over Bournemouth 3-1(no bookings),West Ham thumps Newcastle 3-0,all square 2-2 for ManUtd./Southampton. Sunday;Arsenal 4-2 over Spurs, in the North London Derby. Spurs were short a man as Jan Vertonghen was sent off.In West London,Chelsea delivers a 2-0 win over Fulham,and in Merseyside,Liverpool1-0 over Everton in a really intense match ,as Origi gives the 3 points to the Reds in the final minute of second half stoppage time(96 minutes) with a header following an attempted save by Everton's keeper. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was so excited with the goal,he ran onto the pitch to congratulate Origi,with the clock still running. Klopp apologized for his conduct,possibly facing some sort of disciplinary action for leaving the technical area prematurely.
