I've been playing Avalon Hill's Tobruk since it was released in 1975. It is my all time favorite wargame.

I've used a set of conversion rules for miniatures since the early 80's.

It has certainly stood the test of time for me personally and remains popular to date with Critical Hit's Advanced Tobruk System (ATS) and now BRL 1192.

I've always found the original counters to be bland and uninspiring.

I've been upgrading my board game counters lately and noticed that Upton Games had a replacement set for TOBRUK; the fact that they were filled in 'top down' views, especially in regards to the infantry (counters) really grabbed my attention.

I've ordered from Upton Games before and was not surprised at the quality of this set.

For the size, the detail is outstanding and imparts a completely different feel when playing the game.

Colors used complement either the original hard mounted boards or the current updated paper maps.

Register was spot on and while these do not fall out of the tree and require a sharp X-Acto the time spent removing them is well worth it.

Highly recommended!
