Man made continental drift?

Martin From Canada31 May 2018 1:17 p.m. PST

It's probably a sad attempt pour fair épater la bourgeoisie with regards to global warming denial.

jdginaz31 May 2018 4:36 p.m. PST

Actually I think it is very successful shot at "global warming". I'm impressed.

Cacique Caribe31 May 2018 4:53 p.m. PST

Exactly. And it's an easy clear one. What's not to get?

Most people would get it*. And most would probably chuckle about it a little, even if it takes a shot at their own strong beliefs about global warming (like my nephew).

Men build cities along the coastline and that creates extra weight along the edge of the continent so it will slip along the ocean causing continental drift. Everyone knows it's man made but big pharma and other large corporations stand to lose billions of dollars if we try and stop it.

Futurama had a great solution … if we all jump at exactly the right time, we might be able to push the Earth a tiny bit further from the heat of the sun! :)

It's not that. I just didn't think I could overestimate the "cleverness" of this crowd any further. I actually "got it", thanks. So much so that I understand Martin's comment is the most pertinent.

C'mon Cacique, you know people get upset when you make fun of their religion.
