"Warner Bros. has revealed the first trailer for the new action thriller The Meg, and it's an absolute blast. The new action thriller stars Jason Statham as a navy captain and rescue diver hired to face down a prehistoric shark and save a team of scientist trapped at the bottom of the sea, and from the looks of this trailer this movie might just deliver on every delightful element of that premise.

National Treasure and The Sorcerer's Apprentice director Jon Turteltaub takes the helm for the sci-fi action adventure from a script by Dean Georgaris(Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life) and Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber (Red), and it looks like Turtletaub is ready to have all the fun he can with this one. It's energetic and fearlessly goofy, it's got big-budget sheen, Statham delivering cheesy one-liners, a jurassic shark, and I haven't even mentioned the giant squid yet. This could not be more My…."

So a 90-100 minute movie but a big and scary fish that eats lots of individuals and they can't seem to find a way to kill it.

So it will go from one bad situation to another until they finally blow it up.

Oh and since Jason is in it expect a chase scene or two as well.
