Stephen Hawking the noted physicist has died at the age of 76.

Well gaining fame as a world renowned physicist to me his greatest achievement was his inspiration to all. His quote sums it up bautifully: "I want to show that people need not be limited by physical handicaps as long as they are not disabled in spirit."

Very sad indeed. But wow, what a life though, despite all his challenges.

A great loss for sure. But was also a great life while he was with us.

We were just watching the movie "Gifted" on HBO about a young child raised by her uncle after her mother dies. A balancing act between raising her as a "child" and raising her as a "genius".

Amazing man. You didn't need the slightest interest or understanding of Theoretical Physics to grasp the humanity behind his determination not to be defined by his disability.

His sense of humour shone beyond his intellect to show the power of the human mind to overcome life's setbacks and make him a legend outside the world of academic achievement in an unparalleled manner.

A true "One Off"

His genius awed me, his fight against his disease was inspiring but his humor and ability to laugh at himself won my respect. The world is a smaller place today.
