Well, a remarkably well acted, scripted and engaging film covering a convoluted story in an accessible and fascinating way. Liked it a lot. Got some Oscar nomination nods I think as well. Trailer: YouTube link |

+1. Another solid directorial effort from Steven Spielberg. It's too bad some will avoid it altogether for its perceived "liberal agenda." Their loss. link |

I am generally a Tom Hanks fan and he did his usual excellent job in this film. But I didn't care for the film itself, and it had naught to do with any 'liberal agenda,' perceived or actual. I do agree with Fanatik's assessment of Spielberg's effort and am constantly amazed at Spielberg's range of subjects in his work. |

I'm actually not a huge Tom Hanks fan – I'd usually say that, like Tom Cruise, he's wildly overrated as an actor. IMHO. But I was impressed in this film – I thought he did some good solid character work that I could actually believe in. |
