Their website has no information on their use of mono sodium glutamate (MSG), but every time I have their awesome chicken strips I end up with a migraine lasting 2-3 days.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. But it sure would be nice if there was official word somewhere about their use of MSG on their chicken strips.

Can anyone help? Is there some sort of national MSG database for fast food that would have that information?

Thanks

Dan
PS. I sent the company an email with my question a little while ago, by the way.

From the Mayo Clinic website,

"However, researchers have found no definitive evidence of a link between MSG and these symptoms. Researchers acknowledge, though, that a small percentage of people may have short-term reactions to MSG. Symptoms are usually mild and don't require treatment. The only way to prevent a reaction is to avoid foods containing MSG."

Lol. That's funny. I go 3 (almost 4) years without a single migraine. Then I ate there a couple of weeks ago and got a migraine the next day (good thing I texted my wife about it, now I have a record). I ate there also this past Monday and got a migraine Tuesday.

And people wonder why I've grown more skeptical of reports the older I get.

I have no idea, but they make fine tasting chicken. I've never heard of putting MSG on fried chicken, but who knows.

If you been twice and ended with a migraine both times, I suggest not going back. Way to many good places to eat here to mess with a place that might be causing you problems.

I know Popeye's Chicken does. They've admitted to it too. That's why I haven't eaten there in many years!

I read a long time ago that a lab analysis of KFC original recipe (11 herbs and spices) registered mainly salt, black pepper, and MSG.
