Rose Marie was famous well before her role on 'The Dick Van Dyke Show'. As a child performer, she was just about one of the last living veterans of Vaudeville. She made numerous recordings and was on the radio and in theatrical short subjects throughout the 1930s, and according to one author and music historian, she was probably the last American performer alive who had a hit record before the beginning of World War II.

After her "Dick Van Dyke" days, she became a regular panelist on the NBC game show 'The Hollywood Squares' and was a guest on numerous tv shows, from 'The Monkees' to 'The Hughleys'. Her career spanned a total of over 80 years.

Godspeed, Ms. Rose Marie, and thank you very, very much.

She was also a regular on The Doris Day Show, and they remained friends afterwards.

They have recently released a documentary about Rose Marie, using her extensive archives.

Brother's family had been watching the old Dick van Dyke shows not that long ago and so I had done some looking into the various actors and actresses.

Was very impressed by Rose Marie's career and talent.

RIP
