Yeah, and I have a feeling that the tourist kidnapping industry will also pick up a bit.

Jail??? How in the world …?

Everyone I know of who has visited Venezuela in the last couple of decades has been robbed/mugged, even Venezuelans visiting family back home. Their old street-smarts didn't help them much, because the criminals are getting more creative each year.

A walk…? … A parade my friend…! (smile)

Tourists will find the streets a little bit busy at times, what with the spontaneous riots and all.

Of course, you'd never know it from watching the official news channels over there.

A coworker had family come to visit California from Venezuela. They were from an educated, prosperous (for Venezuela) family. When they went to Target, the mom turned her head and cried because of all the things that she could not get in Venezuela.

Sad, because it is a rich and resource laden country, ruined by terrible governments.
